joy for all Thursday, May 31, 2007

In this multi-racial community, we might find the term "joy for all" has been ridiculed for generations, especially the recent development of many undesirable events.

From the announcement of Islamic state, till case after case of apostasy, yet it has give little impact to our community. Undeniably, fault is on our hands. We care less of what's happening around us, we deny our own rights by staying ignorant about what's going on around us.

My recent post about "no joy for Lina" brought me roughly 400 visitors to my blog, all thanks to Malaysiakini. It is my prayer that more will know what should they do as a citizen of this country. What do you think?

something interesting

Bocor teruk kata Samy
Wiring lama kata Ramli
Bangunan tua kata Nazri
Najib said it's PWD

Semua ada alasan sendiri
But where you all spent the money?
RM90 juta untuk cantikkan lobby
So that it looks luxury

Nice décor and nice settee
But now you kena letak baldi
Bocor teruk when it rains heavily
MP yang busuk pun boleh mandi

The floor is wet and slippery
The luxury lobby now looks untidy
Inilah dia third class mentality
Luar cantik tapi dalam very shoddy

Structure work should get priority
And now whose responsibility
JKR or Parliament Committee
While you all gaduh sama sendiri

Rakyat want an answer immediately
Otherwise kita tak bagi you undi
Sebab you spent money unnecessarily
You know it is taxpayers' money
So please spend the money wisely.

Got this from K, but, will Malaysians remember all these events when they fulfill their responsibility as a responsible voter?

May 30 - a test of faith Saturday, May 26, 2007

Not only a test of faith, it is a test for the ideology of a secular state. Will the honourable judges determine Lina Joy's status of religion based on our constitution, or node to the majority. Pray hard... er.

Will it be another sad day? Will my dear fellow Malaysians have any concern with the court's decision? or just to be forgetful?

The truth shall be revealed on coming wednesday.

love and hurt Thursday, May 24, 2007

Before you hurt others,
Hurt yourself first.
It will make you wise.
Before you love yourself,
Try to love others first.
It will make you perfect.

~~~
You have the power that hurts.
He has the love that heals.
I have the light that sees.
God has the Compassion that feels
~~~

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme,
How is it possible for me
To hurt the ones
That I love deeply?
"My child, here is the proof
That you do not actually love them."

My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme,
Now tell me,
Do I not sincerely and deeply
Love You, my Supreme?
Why do You then hurt me so often,
If not always?

"My child, My child,
Go beyond, far beyond,
The boundaries of your futile mind.
Then you will have the answer
From Me."
My Supreme, my Supreme, my Supreme!

~~~
No matter how intensely you love God
In His own Way,
You will never get hurt.
But if you love God in your own way,
At every moment you will get hurt.
A poem by Sri Chinmoy. Though we have different belongings, but we share the same affection.
Food Review: Yong Teng Cafe
Yup! Food never leave my (our) mind. Last (last last) Tuesday (Labour Day 2007) we went up to Cameron for site survey, as we're running a 4-day youth camp in Ringlet, Cameron. We stopped by Tanah Rata for the infamous pancake stall ran by one aged couple.
the "cafe".
the uncle.
the menu, blurred.
The cafe has been relocated from the food court nearby the old bus station set up by local municipal council two years back. The local municipal council decided to demolish the area and rebuild a larger (and doesn't really make sense) bus station in the busy and crowded one and only main street in Tanah Rata town. The relocation exercise have forced them to a newly set up stall (not so good ones) at the back of the street. But I believe people never stop coming as even first timers like my friends are lured by the yummy ice cream pancakes and steaming hot cup of boh tea. They wanted to come back again next time :)
delicious cheese toast, simple yet elegant.
Unforgettable hot steaming boh tea.
If you ask me what should you order, my recommendation is the cheese toast. It is true that cheese toast is simple and you can have it at home. However, the combination of cheese toast with a cup of hot tea with the accompanied cameron weather make lots of difference in taste and pleasure.
Not to exaggerate, eventhough this was three weeks back, I still can vividly recall the delicate meal I had here.
On a note, the pancakes are nice, just that I'm not a pancake person. If you have a chance to visit this place, please try it out too :)
Now... a series of food eater for your pleasure.
Eat!!!!!!
Wong Kar-Wai style photography
Hey, watch out!
Superlicious!
I'm not hungry... (kononnya... lakon aje)
Burp~ ;)
To be continued.
Wait wait wait... where is it? Tell u soon.
Emotional Day Monday, May 14, 2007
There's a stereotyping going around, where many think girls are usually emo type, and hence it is understandable when they're in the emo stage.
Today K told me she's in the emo stage, and I realise it is a privilege actually to be in such a state (though I did not directly/indirectly say K should be in such a state). I still remember E told me that she's in such a state for quite some time, and I realise it is a privilege to be able to tell people you're in such a state.
In fact, many people in this world unwillingly deny their state of emo. Many try hard to hide their true feelings. In result people either go crazy or just burst for no apparent reason.
In today's world, the word "globalization" means nothing more than a techno jargon, it hides away the real progress of human civilization. It's time for us to look upon our true self, and be real to ourself.
A quote from a book says this,
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.
Indeed, we're like that, sometimes.
One Year
It's been a year, as I vividly recall last year about this time I was still unsure of where I will kick-start my first job. Annie was over here for her industrial training and the flowers we made for my mom was still in the kitchen. Hah!
It's been a year plus and so I'm still waiting for many things, and hence such memory reminds me of God's faithfulness over my life. Though many things seem unclear, misty, yet I was reminded to be strong in my wait.
A story to learn, glad to hear too E was doing well. Keep it up dude! I believe everything will fall into place as how God has planned for us :)
Who are you? Wednesday, May 09, 2007
I often find it interesting, and rather curious to see many people from all corners of the world somehow bumped into my blog (google analytics tells me so). Do you mind identifying yourself?
When will it end? Thursday, May 03, 2007
Though we've partake the exilic life for long, when will the curvy road ends?
the next 10 miles? or the next 2 days? or never?
A short note for my fellow colleague A, the disappointment of life ain't about our most loved one - it's about how much we missed of the end of our curvy road.
